This year sees the return of the MCN Ally Pally Show

As if the Bikeshed show wasn’t exciting enough, this year sees the return of the Ally Pally show: http://www.mcnallypallyshow.co.uk/

Backed by Motorcycle News and in a brilliant location, you’re pretty-much guaranteed a cracking day out. The thing is; if you’re old enough to remember the Ally Pally Road & Race Exhibition from the 80s & 90s (which I am), it was this show in particular that kicked off the biking season and was a massive amount of fun, because Alexandra Palace is somewhere a bit special, as venues go. The amazing view of London as you walked up the hill to the peripheral grounds, the atmosphere as you walk in to a massive palm court, the variety of bikes on display and even the food was good. Yes, I know that the industry’s changed and times move on, but for ‘venue wow’ and variety alone, this show will be worth going to, I reckon. No mentioning the fact that, for the first time as far as I’m aware, there’s actually be an indoor supersprint, which will basically be like the Brighton Speed Trials without having to schlep to Brighton. So….see you there….
