Milan Show – Yippeeeee!!!!!!!!!

OK, I’ve just done 2 days at the annual EICMA Milan Motorcycle Show 2019. As always, it was a very eclectic mix of new machinery and our core business of scramblers, streetfighters and a smattering of Café Racers. Again, the feeling and buzz around the place belied the Brexit blues and people were still very keen on product and to work hard for our industry. Yes, it was more subdued than last year, but that’s as to be expected.

Some motorcycles of particular note were…

Triumph’s new Rocket 3 – very pretty, smaller than you think, but none the worse for it

BMW R18 Concept – staggering attention to detail, very modern with it – already a classic, I think

MV Agusta Superveloce – behave yourself beautiful. No bike should ever look this good within realms of normality

Ducati Streetfighter V4 – 200+HP for a motorcycle with no fairing. I mean seriously…..How will your head actually stay on when you accelerate?

Royal Enfield 650 GT Continental & Himalayan have new, much-needed colours and it’s freshened the range up considerably

ELECTRIC – yup, the future. Harley’s Livewire, the Verge, Energica and Zero all had an amazing look

Either way, it was as always enjoyable and I can’t wait to be here again next year.
