What’s going down in the hood?

Long time no speak; sorry about that. There’s a reason for it though…We at Alchemy Parts have been burrowing away to radically change the business for the better.

Here’s how….

We’ve bought 2 metal containers and made space downstairs in our 2-storey industrial unit for a showroom. This is because, while we all love the internet and its divine wisdom, we often want to see products that whet our appetite before buying and it occurred to us that given our location just north of London, we’re dead easy to find, being very near the M24/M1/A1. Due to this, we’re in the throes of opening a shop. This will display many of our wares, as well as offer you samples to hold up to your bike to see if it looks/feels right. We'll be able to illuminate headlights, indicators and taillights, show you different handlebars and you'll see all mirrors that suit best for that ever-so-important optimal rear view.

However, we’ve gone a step further and really thought hard about how best to display some of the items we sell. This will make sense in the next few posts I put out, which will have comprehensive images that illustrate the kind of look we’re after.

But what else?...

Well, in a moment of ingenuity while sitting on the big white telephone, it occurred to me that a very wide range of motorcyclists want/need luggage. By this, I actually thought soft/hard panniers and top boxes, but also, they want tank bags, screens, handguards and spotlights, so my business partner and I decided to be a luggage specialist come motorcycle travel centre; and so, in the last few months, we’ve bought in and are now stockists of Kriega, SHAD, Givi and SW-Motech products.

Let me elaborate…

Kriega – we’re an OS Specialist. The Overlander System is soft luggage that’s designed for rugged road and off-road use, and we've committed to stocking the complete range. On top of that, we have rucksacks, rollbags and various accessories for you to see.

SHAD – we have a comprehensive range of Shad luggage, including their patented SH38X expandable panniers and SH58X expandable top box, both in black and silver colourways. We've also got a range of their tank bags, which includes their patented click system for locking them to their tank support

Givi - we also have a solid range of Givi luggage. Given the sheer size of their range, we've got a good cross-section of the luggage and tank bags that matter the most. The top boxes and panniers include the Trekker, Trekker Outback, Maxia, V37, V47 and so on. The tank bag range includes ST and XL Tank lock bags in a variety of sizes, some of which are waterproof and some curved to follow the tank's line.

There's more to come too, including products from SW-Motech, plus other items from the above suppliers.

Open days...

Yes, we'll be having these too. This will include food, drink and much merriness.

More on this when the shop is finished. Completion date is scheduled to be for the end of January 2025 on the outside, but for the moment, I wanted to keep you abreast of what's happening.
