Come On Down Y'all!

Come On Down Y'all!

Dear All,

In my last blog, I mentioned that we’d opened a new showroom, showing off not-only Alchemy Parts’ existing products, but a specialist motorcycle luggage side of the business, too.

What I now want to do is elaborate in a little detail why this is important and how it benefits you in perhaps more ways than you realise (that sounds patronising, but please bear with me here…)…

I wanted to make a destination showroom that you remembered…

Motorcycle and clothing showrooms are now relatively rare, so are motorcycle workshops (compared to, say 20+ years ago), but a specialist motorcycle parts and luggage showroom is unheard-of. It would have been easy to chuck a whole load of parts up on grid walls and have a few pieces of luggage thrown around the gaff on the floor, but we really wanted to create an environment that wanted you to see how rich the shop is; not in money, but in product variety and depth.

How can the internet really show you the item you’re buying?

It can’t. If you’re looking at our own brand of Alchemy Parts products (headlights, indicators, handlebars, etc), the greatest online pictures in the world can’t really contextualise the heft and quality of products that we sell. When we say that we wouldn’t ever sell you something that we wouldn’t fit on our own motorcycle, we really do mean it. Therefore, to me, a showroom is important not-only to see your product of interest first-hand and up close, but to then offer it up against your motorcycle. As always with these things, seeing is believing and even if the products we sell aren’t right for your build, it doesn’t matter; at least you’d then know, or even want to take the build in a different direction.

As for luggage, how do you really know you’re getting it right?

Yes, you can of course order a set of panniers online, but how will you really know that you’ve chosen the right shape, size and even material for your motorcycle and moreover the kind of journeys you want to take, plus what you’d be wanting to carry? Take it from me, choosing luggage can actually be quite involved and takes a bit of working out. Coming to our showroom gets my undivided attention so that we get it right and already, we’ve had a few customers change their mind for luggage more suitable for their needs, be it touring, commuting, off road and so on. We can also offer a luggage fitting service, so if you haven’t got the tools, or just don’t want to fit what you buy, we’ll sort it out.

Do I need to plan a visit?

Yes; we’re by appointment only. Please get in touch via email, phone, through Facebook, or Instagram.

In short…why a visit to our showroom makes a difference?

  • We’re very knowledgeable - See our products up close, check the quality, size and features in person.
  • Try before you buy - Feel the materials, test the weight, and see how different options compare.
  • Expert support - Get personalised recommendations based on your motorcycle and needs.
  • Hassle-free fitting - No guesswork—we’ll ensure that everything fits correctly.
  • I’ve been doing this a while – 32 years working with motorcycles in fact. I’ve learned a thing or two that will help.
